The Ryan name is well known on the Central Coast – and with good reason. Tony and his family have been serving the local community for many years and Tony is committed to continuing this rewarding legacy.
He initially dabbled in teaching as a possible career path after completing high school – he remains a proud member of the Central Coast Grammar School alumni to this day – and obtained his necessary tertiary qualification. Then a lengthy trip to the depths of South America somehow made him realise what he had been missing out on – the beautiful practice of law. While many consider it dull and uninteresting, Tony is passionate about it. He returned to Australia and commenced his Bachelor of Laws and then forgot to stop studying. He now has a Master of Commercial Laws, Master of Applied Laws (Wills & Estates) and is currently completing another Master of Applied Laws.
Since first graduating, Tony has worked in this practice and trained under his father, John Ryan, who has been acting for clients on the Central Coast for over 35 years and is NSW’s longest serving arbitrator. Tony couldn’t have wished for a better mentor and his abilities as a lawyer are a testament to that. Tony specialises in property and commercial work and has a particular passion and aptitude for Wills and estates.
Tony is an outstanding basketball player who has been involved in various capacities in the sport on the Central Coast since he was first able to dribble. He is also an avid surfer and paddle boarder and likes nothing more than getting out on the water in his time away from the office.
Tony believes strongly in giving back to the community and that’s why he and his wife are also volunteer lifeguards with Terrigal Surf Life Saving Club.
